After a good first half where Kansas City held a 7-3 lead for a long time before trailing 10-7 at the half, Baltimore took over in the second half. Forcing a total of 5 turnovers this Ravens Defense proved that sometimes experience can still beat talented youth.
The Ravens won the game 30-7 even though it felt closer, then again when you take a look at the numbers, it really was a blowout. The Ravens had double the time of possession and won in yardage 390-161. Still there were times in the first half where one more broken tackle or better pass and the Chiefs might have had more points and not been forced to abandon the run in the third quarter. The Chiefs were unable to pass on the Ravens so no comeback was possible.
So now the Ravens go to Pittsburgh and play what will be the third meeting this season with the division rival Steelers. The Jets are traveling to New England to have a third meeting with division rival Patriots. These should be two dandy's. It looks to me like the Ravens are the hottest AFC team and today was just the first stop on the way to Superbowl XLV.
I don't care much about either team, but I guess I would pick the Steelers to beat the Ravens.
