This is not how this "all in" Brewer season was supposed to begin. I think a rookie manager with more of a veteran ball club might not be the right match. This has me craving football but with the possibility of the NFL not coming to an agreement in time to start playing meaningful games in September, we need the Brewers to be good more than ever. This is the perfect season to win it all and have everyone in the state paying attention throughout this journey.
They look like the same Brewers as the last two seasons. Ron Roenicke needs to show us he is different from the most recent managers. You tell me, does this poor start already tell us that the Reds are much better than the Brewers? Should any hopes of winning the National League Central be adjusted to just hoping for a Wild card spot?
Playoffs? PLAYOFFS? What am I even talking about?
I JUST WANT TO WIN A GAME!!!
Time to start watching NASCAR!!! Another great race today! Harvick wins two in a row...great finish again! Carl is second in points! The season goes till Thanksgiving. Then we will have BULLS again. Brewers and CUBS appear to ready to battle for the cellar!
ReplyDeleteThe trouble is that I just can't get into watching NASCAR. I have tried, but I like baseball better. It is too early to rule any team out but I think this bad start will come back to haunt the Brewers in the end.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to look on the bright side. The Reds are the defending NL Central champion. Rickie Weeks and Carlos Gomez did open Thursday's game with back-to-back homers. And today's Milwaukee opener is sold out; in fact they could have sold it out x3 if they had the seats. It sure would be great if they could have a good season. The Brewers are only one of 8 franchises that has never had a World Series championship.
